My first experience building commercial studios came in 1981 working as an assistant engineer at Atlantic Studios on W. 60th St. in New York. Under the excellent in-house designer, Jim Falconer, we rebuilt all three rooms over the course of 3 years. This was followed by a year and a half building studios in Minneapolis working under Tommy Wiggins, the Studio Guy (really). I've had my commercial studio in New York City since 1988, growing from 8-track reel-to-reel to the current configuration.
